Automotive World: Linux spurs a major step in industry collaboration

In what has been labelled a major milestone for the industry in the movement towards open development methodologies, Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) – a collaborative open source project developing a common, Linux-based software stack for the connected car – has announced the release of the industry’s first open in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) software specification.
