This webinar provides an overview on how device virtualization is the critical key to preserve software assets in automotive systems and even in systems without a hypervisor. He discusses how the most important elements for the device virtualization include well-defined device abstraction and location transparency and shows the “unified virtual display” technology for complex cockpit systems as the latter example. Mizuyama-san also touches upon the latest progress of the AGL Virtualization Expert Group, which is focused on the introduction of VirtIO to the AGL Unified Code Base (UCB) as the standard device virtualization.
