Forbes: Daimler Adds Extra Muscle To AGL

The auto industry is busy strengthening its moat to keep the Silicon Valley hordes out. Today, German luxury carmaker Daimler became the latest member of a software consortium to stave off the likes of Google and Apple.

As the tenth carmaker, Daimler joined Automotive Grade Linux (AGL), a collaborative open source project developing a Linux-based, open platform for the connected car.
